THE HISTORY OF

SEMCO EQUIPMENT SALES

Semco Pty Limited was founded in 1994 by Peter Esse, Satch Santilli, and Graham Murphy, former Case Corp employees. Leveraging their combined industry experience, they quickly established Semco as a respected supplier of construction and agricultural equipment.

Initially named Case Equipment Sales, Semco expanded its reach with branches in Newcastle and Queanbeyan, covering most of New South Wales. Recognizing a gap in the market, they became NSW Takeuchi Importers & Dealers in 1999, a pivotal moment that significantly impacted Semco’s future.

As the industry evolved with the merger of Case and Case IH, Semco adapted its focus. While initially handling both Case and Case IH brands, they eventually decided to concentrate on Takeuchi sales and relinquish the Case CE business. This strategic shift aligned with the growing importance of the Takeuchi brand and its compact track loaders.

Semco’s commitment to growth led them to expand into Queensland and Victoria, becoming the National Takeuchi Importer/Distributor. They also added Morooka and Yamaguchi products to their range, solidifying their position as a leading supplier of construction and agricultural equipment. With a focus on customer service and a dedicated team, Semco has built a strong reputation and achieved significant financial success throughout its 30-year history.
